The Witness of Truth

There is a witness within me who knows the truth and who will not let me enter into falsehood. My inner guide keeps me on the pathway of life and directs me at all times to that which is right and best. I am never without this witness of the spirit, for I believe in it and accept it as the great companion of the soul. The spirit within me is perfect now.

I Make Intelligent Use Of Universal Laws

The universe is impersonal. It gives alike to all. It is no respecter of persons. It values each alike. The philosopher, the priest, and the professor, the humanitarian and the empire builder, all have caught some gleam of the eternal God. The world of knowledge needs to be knit together and not pulled apart.

The road to freedom lies, not through mysteries, but through the intelligent use of natural forces and laws. we do not create laws and principles, but discover and make use of them. Our mind and spirit is our echo of the Eternal Thing Itself, and the sooner we realize this fact, the sooner we will be made free and happy.

Don’t we all agree that the world is tired of mysteries, does not understand symbols, and longs for Reality? We should take truth wherever we find it, making it our very own. Intellectual freedom and religious liberty are necessary to the unfolding spirit in man.

My Own Shall Come To Me

From far to near my own shall come to me. Even now it is coming to me, and I receive it. My own is now manifesting itself to me, and I see and know its presence. My own knows and responds to me. The drawing power of that inner spirit within me is now attracting and drawing into my experience all that is good and perfect. There is nothing within me to hinder or to delay it. My own cannot be kept from me, neither can I keep my good away from me. I receive it now. I now receive my good.

I Open Myself To Greater Love

Love is more than a sentiment. It is a need, a hunger, a thirst that is perfectly natural. Anyone who thinks he can live and be happy without it does not know what he is talking about – psychologically, emotionally, or spiritually. Love is the beginning and end, the impulse in nature that will not be denied.

Let us think back beyond the individual to the Source of all life. I believe that the whole universe is the givingness of the Creative Spirit – to the delight of Its own Being – into the creation that is Itself in that creation. Love is the principle of Life, for it is the nature of everything to give. Only the one who loves so much that there is no longer any room for hate will ever arrive at the place where, if there may be hate, he will never know it. We are afraid of greatness because we are so tied down to littleness. We clutch the littleness anxiously and jealously, but so precariously, to our hearts. It is essential to see beyond the littleness to something bigger. None of us is as perfect in expression as we ought to be. So the challenge to each of us is to be great enough to rise in love, in charity, through understanding and compassion. Love is the lodestone of life.

I respond lovingly to all persons. Recognizing that the spiritual life is the real life, I surround myself with love, the key to joyous living.

I Recognize The Indwelling Spirit

A belief in the Invisible is the very essence of faith. Prayer, or spiritual communion, demands a complete surrender to the Invisible. It knows that because the Creative Power of God is at hand, all things are possible.

Whatever our idea of God may be, the perception of Reality is always an inner perception. As Moses tells us, the word is not afar off but in our own mouths, and Jesus taught that the Kingdom of Heaven is within us. The prayer of power is not so much a petition as it is an inner recognition.

We cannot doubt that the Spirit has already made the gift of Life – since we live. Ours is the privilege of acceptance. Thus we are to assume the attitude of a grateful beneficiary of the Divine gifts. This should be done simply and directly. The Spirit is not something that was, or that is going to be or become. The Truth is that which is; it exists at the very center of our being. To pray in spirit and in truth means to recognize this indwelling Spirit and to declare the truth about its activity through us.

Today I directly experience the reality of Spirit, allowing It to renew my mind, guide my decisions, and direct my affairs. I know that in the eternal act of creation, everything passes from the Invisible to the visible to be temporarily experienced. I rest in peace, assured that my needs are met by this play of Life upon Itself.

The Divine Presence Within Me Is My Authority

The Divine Presence within each of us is both the center and circumference of our real being. It is the Infinite Presence that inhabits eternity and finds a dwelling place in our own consciousness. We recognize It as the only authority there is. We know we are one with It and in It, for there is no separation from It. Our own consciousness is the very depth and height of Its Being and is one with all there It is.

There is an infinite self-knowingness, which we call the Spirit. It is ruled by law and impelled by love. Each of us is an individual center in it, without being an individual separate from It. We are rooted in the One, which produces limitless variety. Therefore, God is uniquely individual and uniquely personal to each one of us.

We are not one in God or with God, but we are one of God. Although the identity is the same in essence, it is not the same in degree. If there were a sameness in degree, we would have already exhausted the possibility of the Infinite; and having done so, our continual existence would be a cosmic tragedy, because there would be no place to go and nothing to see. Everything would have been used up. Let us keep our thoughts turned to the Divine Presence within us and within one another. Deeply desiring that we become more aware of the love we have for one another and the world, may our consciousness be opened to a deeper understanding of Life.

In the beauty and quiet of this moment, I commune with the Divine Presence. The certainty of love and friendship flows into my consciousness, and I feel a deep peace. I give thanks for my increasingly beautiful life.

A Marvelous Sense

A marvelous sense steals over the one who waits on the All Good. A feeling of some unseen presence silently creeps over the waiting thought, and the voice of God speaks through the mist and says “Be not afraid.” It is all for a purpose, and when you cannot trace you must trust. This is not an illusion but a reality for time proves all things, and the one who waits is rewarded. Good comes for the infinite light itself is our companion. I wait on divine presence.

I Am Complete In Eternal Spirit

Cosmic light, everlasting good, eternal spirit, maker of all things and keeper of my life, you are all. Infinite presence within, in whom all live; joy supreme, flooding all with gladness, I adore you. Eternal peace, unditurbed and quiet, I feel your calm. Divine presence which inhabits eternity and dwells within all creation, who lives through all things and in all people, hear my prayer. I would enter your gates with joy and live at peace in your house. I would find a resting place in you, and in your presence live. Make me to do your will and from your wisdom teach me the ways of truth. Compel me to follow you and let me not pursue the paths of my own council. Eternal and blessed presence, Illumine my mind and command my will that my soul may be refreshed and that my life may be renewed. As deep cries unto deep, so my thought cries to you and you answer. I am renewed and refreshed; my whole being responds to your love, and I am complete in you. all my ways are guarded and guided, and I shall live with you eternally. Lover of my soul and keeper of my spirit, none can separate us, for we are one. So shall your wisdom guide me, your presence dwell within me, your love keep me and your life envelope me now and forever. I rest in you.

The Dawn Has Come

Out of the darkness of the long night the dawn has come. I rise to meet the new day, filled with confidence and strength. I arise and go forth into the new dawn, inspired and refreshed by the living spirit within me. O dayspring, you can never die; the sun can never set upon your perfect glory. for the lamp of the soul has been re-kindled with the oil of faith, and love has cleansed the windows of life with the spirit of gladness. They can nevermore grow dim with fear, for perfect love casts out all fear. I am renewed in strength through knowing good. My light has come.

Inspiration

Come, great and infinite mind and inspire me to do great deeds. Acquaint me with your knowledge and in your wisdom make me wise. I would be taught of you, inner light, and inspired by your presence. I will listen to your voice and it will tell me of great things to be done. I will walk in your paths and they will lead me into All Good. I will be inspired from on high. Oh wonderful presence, flooding me, filling me with your light, you inspire me! I feel the inspiration of spirit.
