Essene Meditations and Blessings #108

Meditation

There is a part of me

That is rooted firmly in the earth.

It is to this grounded, solid me

That I now deeply bow.

For without this,

There would be no expansion,

No life-giving nourishment

Coursing to my tender new leaves,

No strong stem to reach toward the sun.

The earth is my home

For this incarnatiion,

And I am blessed.

The Blessing

There is a sacredness which infuses my life

As I realize that my own growth is my work.

I am the canvas

I am the artist

I am the paint.

I ask that the artist be ever guided

By the Artist,

And that as I grow, I come to know

This perfection

Of the unfinished masterpiece

That is Life
