Daily Meditation #12

These daily meditations are excerpts from ‘Science of mind’ by Ernest Holmes, published in 1926.

“Become quiet and composed. The body should be relaxed but the mentality should be active. Then, carefully read the meditation  several times, phrase by phrase, endeavoring to realize the meaning of the words and trying to enter into the atmosphere of thought. After having done this, meditate upon the words, following the meditation until you feel a sense of realization.”

Divine Companionship

“I have an inner friend who walks and talks with me daily. It is not far off, but is within me, a constant companion. I can never become lonely, for divine love is always with me. I have but to speak and it answers. Eternal spirit, how dear to me is your presence. The spirit within me is my friend.”

-Ernest Holmes

  1. Thank God for sending us the Holy Spirit.

  2. Wise Hearted says:

I needed to read that quote right now…at this moment Thank you.

  3. Nancy Ruegg says:

Isn’t it incredible that God DESIRES our company (Revelation 3:20)? He is near to all who call on him with sincerity (Psalm 145:18), ready to lovingly carry us close to his heart (Isaiah 40:11). Before we even call upon him, he answers; while we are still speaking, he hears (Isaiah 65:24). And in his presence is FULNESS of joy (Psalm 16:11). Everything Ernest Holmes asserts in his brief meditation is true! Thank you for sharing his encouragement, Kelly!
