Even in the quiet winter
I feel the Mother’s wisdom
Urging me to grow.
The earth nourishes me
As I contemplate my path
From the womb of winter
To my place of service
As a preparer of the way.
The Blessing
As the long night slowly yields to day,
Even as the old millennium surrenders to the new,
I, too, surrender to my next step
Which carries me toward
My natural state of limitlessness.
The winter teaches me of inner abundance,
Inner completeness,
As I now prepare for the outer learning
That this new year brings.
