These treatments are from Ernest Holmes’ book ’34 Spiritual Treatments’. Use these treatments as prayer or affirmation. If used as prayer, feel the words as originating from your heart and going to the place inside you that God resides. If used as affirmation, pay close attention to the words and truly believe what you are reading. If you don’t believe in God, substitute the word God for anything you choose, and tweak the words to make them work for you.
“Today I turn each attempt into an accomplishment. I have “tried” long enough. My achievement is great because I refuse to compare myself with another. I “measure up” with God and forget human viewpoints. I re-investigate spirit every time I rediscover myself. There is a larger purpose to replace every tired condition in my life. I declare and know that each point of stagnation now vanishes as I start thinking in terms of solutions. I am not simply ready for life, or eager for life: I am living. I unlock every door that has ever housed fear or frustration. My only guests are confidence, expansion and demonstration. To have a larger life I am willing to be a finer person. As a changed environment follows changed reactions, I now release every “pet alibi” – stop all indulgence in self-pity and curb every unwholesome thought. All hesitation is ended. My mind is definite. I advance with success because I advance with faith.”
