Words to Live by #6 Take Time

Quaerite Et Invenietis  “Seek and you will find”

“When your world moves too fast and you lose yourself in the chaos, introduce yourself to each color of the sunset. Reacquaint yourself with the earth beneath your feet. Thank the air that surrounds you with every breath you take. Find yourself in the appreciation of life.”

The author of this poem is unknown, but I love the message it sends. Take time to smell the roses! Take time to be grateful!

“Take time to work

it is the price of success.

Take time to think

it is the source of power.

Take time to play

it is the secret of perpetual youth.

Take time to read

it is the fountain of wisdom.

Take time to be friendly

it is the road to happiness.

Take time to dream

it is your highway to the stars.

Take time to give

it is too short a day to be selfish.

Take time to laugh

it is the music of the heart.

Take time to love and be loved

it is nourishment for the soul.”

May God bless and protect you and…

May you always be

Healthy, Happy

Safe and Comfortable

“The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow, but the rainbow won’t wait while you do the work.” – Erik Erikson

also applies to showing yourself the rainbow, don’t you agree?

Lovely and true sentiments, thank you.

  4. We miss so much in the busyness of life. Thank you for the reminder that it’s good to take things slowly.

  5. Joshuto ∞ says:

Blesses are those who appreciate nature and spare time to get indulged in its beauty, fragrance, touch, sound and taste. This whole arena is created just for you!

    • Kelly Curtis says:

I agree, and really like the way you put that Joshuto.

      • Joshuto ∞ says:

Having researched on Tao and Kabir’s ‘sakhian’ from ‘spiritual journey of every human being’ point of view, now sharing with people wisdom of both at a time to make it easy for everyone.
        Kabir said about formation of natural Pearl : समुंद नहीं सीप बिन, स्वाती बूंद भी नाहीं। कबीर मोती नीपजे, शुन्य सिसिर गह गांठी।।
Means Looking at the formation of a natural Pearl in an Ocean due to falling of rain water inside the Bivalve seashell only when the Sun is positioned in Arcturus constellation, 15th constellation, cit seems

      • Joshuto ∞ says:

It seems that this constellation in space and whole Ocean formed by God just to create natural Pearl. In the same way whole nature is created just for human being to get spiritually enlightened. This is very purpose of every human being that is why we feel calm or at home with all natural things. You too have that sense so just seconded with Kabir’s wisdom.

      • Joshuto ∞ says:

Whole process of formation is very similar to process of enlightenment of a human being! So Kabir, the enlightened mystic, can only compare it.

      • Kelly Curtis says:

I really like that Joshuto, that the universe was created for the pearl to have a chance to develop just as it was created to give us a chance at enlightenment. What a beautiful sentiment! God bless.

      • Joshuto ∞ says:

Indian mystics have given clues so that on understanding them through their own experience they know that they have reached a higher level and on right path. This is clue or like a Japanese ‘Koan’, when a person get enlightened and about to reach a 24×7 no-mind state naturally. Without this realisation it is not possible to reach that state of becoming a Pearl and leaving the cycle of life and death permanently like the water droplet left by becoming Pearl.

      • Kelly Curtis says:

You explain it so elegantly Joshuto, thank you my friend. Take care.
